many camps, we don't squeeze in big
numbers of hunters. Hunting is an

Whitetail Outfitters and we customize the
hunt for you. This is a hunt
that you will be involved in the whole hunt!

Service in Ohio and Kentucky Whitetail Outfitters in Kentucky.
We are in the process of filling last minute hunts for this fall
but more into the planning stages of bookings for 2009 hunts for
both Ohio and Kentucky. Most of my premium rut hunts and
firearms are reserved two years in advance but have scattered
openings for good hunts. In Ohio I operate Lake Erie Fishing
Charters and Ohio Deer hunts. I have been a full time outfitter
since 1987 on hunts and on the fishing end I went full time 8
years ago. Here in Ohio on hunts we operate on 1500 Acres of
Prime Whitetail country. Today it is a tough business
and I would start over for anything. There are outfitters
behind every tree and its experience that has kept me here. In
research, it would be hard to find a outfitter in business for
more than 5 years. Some background on Ohio is The heard looks
better now than it has in 20 years. Now in Ohio the average
buck harvest is 2.5 to 3.5 years old. That is some of the best
averages in the country. I'm not trying to paint a picture of
unrealistic numbers but we have taken some good animals and can
provide some great hunting when things are right. My overall
success rate is 33% on bucks harvested.
We take several bucks each year that score in the 150 class.
Our prices include lodging and meals and are competitive. We
don't pack our hunters in like horses and we are not in the
business of putting customers in positions to see bucks. Our
goal is to put hunters on bucks to harvest. I'm not a sight
seeing Outfitter trying to make my bucks last. We harvest
bucks!
Kentucky is now a one camp operation. We had some big
changes and eliminated our North Camp. We now have only south
camp and can again book spots for 2008 with almost 2000 acres of
land. Kentucky is another proving grounds for big bucks under
the right conditions. It is also another example of Outfitters
coming out of the wood work. Making quick bucks and leasing
hill sides simply to place hunters. With great potential of big
bucks there, we can fill spots now in most weeks once again. We
held off until the LLC changes fell in place and to establish
the integrity of some great hunting leases.
